CEO - Brazos G. MinshewBrazos G. Minshew comes to us with over thirty years of executive experience. Prior to joining So Young America, he has been serving as CEO for Vergence Visionary BioCeuticals, President of BioCell Labs, CEO of Therapy Alternative. Mr. Minshew has also served as Project Manager for Global Healthcare, a non-profit company responsible for disaster relief in seven zones worldwide, as Chairman of an International Medical Advisory Board for GHCO and as a clinician in Functional Medicine for more than twenty years. Mr. Minshew has developed products since 1983 for several nutraceutical companies, yielding over $1 Billion dollars (U.S.) in sales. Examples of his products include Nopalea, hosted by supermodel Cheryl Tiegs with total sales over $650 million and Zamu Gold with Olivia Newton-John with total sales over $100 Million. He has also written several books with over a million copies sold. Mr. Minshew had taught at Colleges and Universities around the World, hosted 35 television shows with more than 250,000 airings in 10 Countries, hosted more than 100 radio shows and podcasts, published a Weekly Wellness Report with 320,000 subscribers and given thousands of professional presentations to audiences from a few dozen to thousands in attendance. In every Organization and endeavor, he is typically selected as the Leader of the project because of his ability to help participants visualize the mission and work tirelessly with him to achieve shared goals. Chairman - Nicholas E. TomchukAfter receiving his doctorate in physics from University of California Berkeley, His first job was as a life science researcher at the California Institute of Technology. He then moved on to the chemistry analytical giant Sigma Aldrich as project manager. In late 1980, he received an offer from Amgen to perform clinical trials on various medical products and equipment, including the first phase of Supercritical Fluid Extraction. Nicholas spent most of his adult life working in the healthcare industry and continues his research regarding the sequencing of DNA molecules and natural bio formulations. He held numerous patents and is the inventor of Bionergy Natural Bio Formula. Currently, Nicholas is an active member of the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association.
Vice President & CLO - Frank CarusoFrank is an international lawyer specializing in corporate and business matters. He was admitted to the bar of the State of Maryland in the United States in 1995. He has practiced corporate law for 20 years, with the past 12 in China and Asia-Pacific. He currently advises multi-national corporations on doing business in China and Asia-Pacific and handles government relations, regulatory compliance and other corporate advisory. He also advises on tax strategies as part of establishing corporations in the region and as it relates to cross border acquisition. In Frank’s almost 20 years as a lawyer, he has worked with companies such as: Microsoft, Intel, Cisco Systems, Nortel Networks, Alcatel, AT&T, Verizon, Whirlpool and many others. He has also done extensive work with U.S. and foreign governments and has negotiated some of the largest technology related contracts. Frank earned his bachelors degree from the University of Maryland and a Juris Doctorate from the Quinnipiac University School of Law. He is also a former officer of the United States Marine Corps where he attained the rank of Captain.
CCO / Research Analyst (Bioinformatics) – Avinash SethAvinash is responsible for all aspects of Data Mining and Analysis, Research and Development, Quality Control, Project Management and Market Research. Prior to Joining So Young America, Avinash worked at Gilead Sciences, Inc. San Dimas where he served as the Product Launch Co-ordinator for Gilead’s latest product Launches (Genvoya, Odefsey, Descovy and Harvoni). Avinash has also led a project on Epigenetic Modifications in the Central Nervous System and Molecular Simulation and Modelling of Histone deacetylase. Avinash received his Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology degree and his Masters in Bioinformatics and Biotechnology from California State Polytechnic University.
Intellectual Property Advisor - Board MemberRobert (Bob) Fish is the founding partner of Fish IP Law LLP™. Bob specializes in patenting for a wide array of fields, including medical devices, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, electronics, computer software, and business methods as well as mechanical arts. He has successfully litigated cases in state and federal courts throughout the U.S. as well as abroad. Bob also has been retained as U.S. counsel by several foreign law firms. In addition, he has appealed matters before the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences, the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and the Federal Circuit. He has acted as both an arbitrator and mediator. Bob began his law career at Lyon & Lyon LLP in 1990 and developed his own intellectual property law practice in 1995. In 2001, he moved his practice in-house to a large California firm, eventually leaving in 2007 to establish Fish & Associates – a return to a boutique practice model serving clients of all sizes – from small investors and startups to multi-billion-dollar Fortune 500 companies. Bob received his law degree from California Western School of Law and an undergraduate degree in natural science from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the American Bar Association, American Intellectual Property Law Association, American Trial Lawyers Association, Federal Circuit Bar Association, Orange County Bar Association and Orange County Intellectual Property Law Association. Bob is the author of Strategic Patenting, White Space Patenting, Green Fields Patenting and Prosecution Magic, comprehensive guides to the complete patent process. He is also the author of the Patent Beast™ comic book and developed Rings of Fire, a patent-themed board game which educates and helps bring humor to the patent process. Bob is also a Super Lawyer and regularly contributes to California Business Litigation, a guide published annually by Continuing Education of the Bar (CEB). Outside of the office, Bob practices Aikido enjoys numerous outdoor sports and researches nutritional approaches to health and disease. Bob resides with his wife and son in Orange County, California. He currently oversees more than a thousand active patent matters and numerous trademark matters, including extensive foreign filings. He also is involved in several patent enforcement programs which include inbound and outbound licensing, arbitration and litigation.
Project Manager - Dave HendersonMr. Henderson is Project Manager & Chief Supply Chain Officer for So Young America. He is a member of the company’s Management Committee, and a management representative on the Regulatory Compliance & Government Affairs Committee, and the Science, Technology & Sustainability Committee of the SYA Board of Directors. Dave has direct responsibility for all aspects of Supply Chain for So Young America. This includes planning, sourcing, manufacturing (internal and external), distribution, customer service, and supply chain strategy and deployment. He also has corporate-wide responsibility for the functions of Quality & Compliance; Environment, Health, Safety & Sustainability; and Engineering & Property Services, including Real Estate and Facilities.
